Our motto “Prevention is better than cure”
Our goal is to educate you on ways you can prevent tooth decay and gum disease.Preventing these problems can help you to:
1 . Stay confident about the state of your oral health.
2 . Decrease the need for future dental care.
3 . Reduce the cost of future dental care.
In addition to daily brushing and flossing, we recommend that you visit your dentist every six months for a thorough examination and clean to help you maintain good dental health and hygiene and assist with early detection of any potential dental problems.
During your six monthly visit, we will usually perform a ‘scale and clean’ to remove any tartar(calculus) from the tooth surface. Plaque builds on teeth and cannot be removed by brushing. If the plaque is not removed it forms tartar, which may cause tooth decay, gum disease or even lead to tooth loss.

A filling is a way to restore a decayed or damaged tooth back to its function and shape. You may need dental fillings if your teeth are decayed, eroded from nail biting, bruxism etc. Even though most people receive dental fillings to stop tooth decay, there are some other reasons to use them. This includes strengthening broken or cracked teeth.
There are a number of materials that can be used to fill cavities. While filling teeth is a fairly common procedure, you may want to know more about how they are done, as well as the options that are available. As may be expected, some of your options are limited based on which teeth need to be treated.White fillings that bond to tooth structure and are the same color as teeth is generally used.

A dental implant is an artificial root made of titanium metal. It is inserted into the jawbone to replace the root of the natural tooth. A crown is attached to the implant. The implant acts as an anchor to hold the replacement tooth in place.
If you are in good general health, have healthy gums and have enough bone in the jaw to hold an implant, it may be the right option for you.

Tooth extraction is the process of removing one or more teeth from your mouth. The whole process may be done in one session or completed over a number of visits. Depending on the problem which caused the need for extraction, the removed tooth may or may not need replacing. There can be a range of reasons for needing a tooth extracted. Before undergoing an extraction your dentist will give you a thorough oral examination and discuss your dental and medical history.

Root canal treatment (also called Endodontics) is needed when the pulp inside your tooth becomes infected through tooth decay or damaged by an injury to your mouth. This infection may spread through the root canal system, which could eventually lead to an abscess, causing a great deal of discomfort. If root canal treatment is not carried out, the tooth may need to be taken out.

Dentures are made to resemble your natural teeth so there should be no noticeable change to your appearance.

Tooth bonding is a cosmetic treatment used to enhance the appearance of teeth. It is often used to improve the aesthetics of chipped and worn teeth.
Treatment involves the application of a composite filling (white filling) to the tooth in order to improve its appearance. Bonding will repair chipped, broken and discolored teeth and can also be used to treat tooth decay.
The process can be done in a single, painless session. In most cases, there is no need for anesthetic and the results are instantly visible. Bonding is one of the most affordable, simple and effective cosmetic dental procedures.

Teeth grinding is clinically referred to as bruxism. It is the act of consciously or unconsciously clenching your teeth either during the day or while you sleep. It affects both the teeth and all of the structure near it, including the head and cause problems like jaw pain, headaches, broken/worn/fracture teeth or generalized sensitivity.
It is very important for adults to consult a dentist so that their teeth grinding habit is addressed generally by making a SPLINT / GUARD to protect the teeth before any further problems develop.

Sealants are a safe and painless way of protecting your teeth from decay. A sealant is a protective plastic coating, which is applied to the biting surfaces of the back teeth. The sealant forms a hard shield that keeps food and bacteria from getting into the tiny grooves in the teeth and causing decay.
The process is usually quick and straightforward, taking only a few minutes for each tooth. The tooth is thoroughly cleaned, prepared with a special solution, and dried. The liquid sealant is then applied and allowed to set hard – usually by shining a bright light onto it.
